We drove on a hot July Day (it rained in Vancouver!). A stop by the Bromley
Rock on the way to Penticton. The crew is getting ready to jump in the
water.
The water was warm, the cliffs were awesome- all different heights.
We
decided to check out the Apex bike park...but they decided to close a few
minutes before our arrival....so everyone itched to get on their bike. The
crew wanted to ride down the road which they did.
DAY 2
We
camped outside a gorgeous bed and breakfast and had delicious pancakes for
breakfast.
We thought we would start with a bang and get the guys a little exercise
after sitting in the van all day so we ordered a hike in Penticton
(apparently they didn't like that idea as much as we did...)
Trails in Penticton were awesome- a little rustic and dry but some of the
guys said they had the best ride of their life.
The same location in motion...
Further down the trail- a cool line over a huge boulder.
The second round- only a handful opted for what became
one of the most memorable rides of the trip. We kept a good speed to race
against the sun, everyone flew at full speed and cleared everything on the
trail.
A
quick stop almost at the end of the trail with the sun about to set. Tired
but ecstatic.
A
few minutes later the dinner was waiting for us down the trail.
DAY 3
Loose Moose campground in Penticton. Check out the quality tent set-up...We
were on a look out for rattlesnakes.
Lunch, swim and a game of frisbee at the great Okanagan Lake.
Arriving at Kelowna's Trails.

DAY 4
How about this for a campsite?
Some rode, others decided to take it easy today. New trails new stunts. We
headed out to Vernon after the ride.
DAY 5
Arrived at Silverstar!
Had a good day for sure!
Dinner the German style.
Camping at Silverstar.

More wall rides at Silverstar
Quality stunts at SilverStar
DAY 7
Our last campground by the river (near Bromley Rock)
This picture is a stitch of 2 pics. A great way to finish off the camp! By
now 3 people were out due to minor injuries, at least 3 bikes ceased to be
rideble and everyone was tired but no one cheered when we got back to North
Vancouver. See you girls and guys next year!
Check out the details of 2008 camps in the Freeride Team
section to be updated very soon. This camp was sold out and next year we
will only be adding one additional date so be sure to book early (Xmas is
coming soon I think :)
