EXTREME RIDERS CAMP DETAILS

WHAT TO BRING

Please dress for the weather, wear sunscreen if necessary (we stay out of the sun about 80% of the time) bring spare clothing, etc... Specifically please bring:

TUNED-UP BIKE - there are few requirements for LR's bikes. As long it is the right size and works fine we will not have a problem with it. Any mechanical deficiencies will disqualify the bike and your child might have to miss the day so please tune-up your bike well ahead of time

HELMET- although we recommend full face helmets, we allow LRs to wear well-fitting road and bmx style helmets. You can rent helmets from us.

PADS- arm and leg pads are required for all camps. We allow skate-board type pads for knees and elbows, however we recommend proper mountain bike pads that cover the area from ankles to above knees and from wrists to above elbows. Chest protectors are not required.

BACKPACK- to carry LUNCH and WATER. It should be a very small or hydropack style backpack that will not interfere with riding. Kids take their backpacks wherever they go. No tools are required for LRs, however a spare tube of right size could be useful.

CLOTHING- we suggest you use non-cotton clothing for kids. T-shirts should be breathable. Shorts should reach to or below knees and be made of thicker material (there are special riding shorts available at bike stores). Shoes should be flat, skate-board style shoes only! Gloves are highly recommended.

FOOD- please avoid peanut based foods and / or instruct your children not to share any food in the course of the camp. Please do not pack large amounts of candy/ bars.
