DETAILED ITINERARY
This Camp is very flexible and
accommodates the weather conditions- when its sunny and 15
degrees we bike, if it rains we climb, etc... An exact
list of activities will be posted Sunday night on this
website. Regardless of the weather, the group will always
meet at 9am at John Henry's and the pick up time will
always be 3:20pm.
DAY 1-
meet early to allow us complete all the paperwork. Today
we plan to bike. Bring all your equipment with you or if
you're renting it from us- arrive a few minutes early to
fit all the gear. After a morning of practicing the basic
skills, we will break for lunch. After the lunch thee will
be a ride on the trails. Pick up at 3:20pm
DAY 2-
Today we will do a couple of exciting things- In the
morning we will check out a couple of new trails to build
on the skills learned on Monday. In the afternoon we will
visit a climbing centre for some exciting activities with
ropes, harnesses and other equipment! Pick up at
3:20.
DAY 3-
Today we have a Big Hunt. Equipped with digital cameras we
will go to the Lynn Valley area to "hunt" for wildlife.
Everyone will be introduced to the art of taking pictures.
There will be extra cameras for those who don't have their
own. In the course of our expedition, campers will learn
about the wildlife of the North Shore mountains. In the
afternoon we will review all the picture and everyone will
learn how to make a cool slide show.
DAY 4-
Today its time to check out some more exiting trails and
at least one bike park on the North Shore. Riders will
learn the basics of dirt jumping and build on their basic
skills learned so far. In the afternoon we will head out
to the climbing centre for another exciting session.
NoFear contest is planned for that day.
DAY 5-
Depending on the weather, we will focus on mountain biking
once again. By now everyone has progressed to become an
intermediate free rider. Trick show sponsored by John
Henry's will take place at 2pm and parents are welcome to
participate! Prizes for all!
This camp comes with a free ESC T-shirt
and all equipment rental for Spring Break Camps are again
free of charge!
There is shuttle service from Vancouver
(Royal Yacht Club)- cost $89/5 days.
